Individual skills are the heart of soccer. There is nothing that’s more fun than taking on an opponent – and leaving them in the dust!

But great skill comes only from committed and continuing practice. As Pele said, “Learn to love the ball.” Spend time practicing every day, and you too can become a dribbling master with all the moves.

Text Box: An artist in my eyes, is someone who can lighten up a dark room. I have never and will never find difference between the pass from Pele to Carlos Alberto in the final of the World Cup in 1970 and the poetry of the young Rimbaud, who stretches cords from steeple to steeple and garlands from window to window. There is in each of these human manifestations an expression of beauty which touches us and gives us a feeling of eternity.

In this section, we present basic technical information for every important soccer skill, along with extensive links to online video demonstrations. Watching key skills, especially in slow motion, is an important way to learn.
